WODS welcome a new pianist

Following Mike Elden’s retirement we are very pleased to announce that our new pianist, who will be working alongside Brian Giles, is Mr Peter Morris. We would like to offer him a very warm WODS welcome and look forward to working with him in the future.

Peter studied piano and conducting at the Royal Academy of Music and has since worked at The Royal Opera House, Shakespeare's Globe and many other theatres in London, mainland Europe and the USA. He has been Musical Director for over 75 productions and played for a further 125 in the pit. He also composes and had his version of the music for the Tom and Jerry cartoons played at the BBC proms. He is also an experienced actor taking the lead role in A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum, Darling Buds of May and Arms and the Man. After teaching composition at the University of Surrey for 15 years, he and his family moved to Martley, just outside Worcester and has immersed himself in the Worcester musical scene. He is thrilled to be part of WODS and looks forward to working with them for Kipps, the forthcoming concert and many future shows. His favourite musical? That's easy. Anything by Sondheim...
