Are you interested in joining WODS?

Thank you for your interest in joining Worcester Operatic & Dramatic Society (WODS). We welcome applications from prospective new members at any time during the year, whether that’s from budding performers, people who want to help behind the scenes in some way (backstage, wardrobe, make-up, publicity, odd jobs around the hall, etc), or from people hoping to joining to support the Society as a Patron.

 

Our usual rehearsal nights are Tuesdays and Wednesdays from 7.30pm – 10pm, with Tuesdays tending to be principal rehearsals and Wednesdays then for the whole company, but it depends on the rehearsal requirements for each show.

 

WODS do not audition people to join the Society, but we do hold auditions for each production. We usually hold 2-3 weeks of audition workshops before auditions. Audition workshops for our Spring production (in April each year) take place in early November, and audition workshops for our Autumn production (in October each year) take place in early May.

 

WODS own our own building where we hold all of our rehearsals at St. Mary’s Hall, Northfield Street, Worcester, WR1 1NS.

 

A few times a year we hold a New Membership Introduction Night where we can meet and welcome anyone thinking of joining or who has recently joined, tell you all about membership of WODS, give you a tour of St. Mary’s Hall, and answer any questions you may have. Our next New Membership Introduction Night will be on Friday 24th March 2023 from 7.30pm. Please let us know if you would like to come along.
