Production Team News for Legally Blonde The Musical 2027

WODS Committee is excited to announce that we have secured a licence to perform 'Legally Blonde : The Musical' for our April 2027 show! Show dates will be 20th to 24th April 2027.

The Committee would like to invite expressions of interest from anyone who would like to be considered for the Production Team as Director, Musical Director or Choreographer. Please email info@wods.co.uk by the end of December 2025 if you'd like to be considered.

Based on the novel and hit film starring Reese Witherspoon, 'Legally Blonde' was described on Broadway as a "nonstop sugar rush of a show!", and won an Olivier Award for Best New Musical when it opened on the West End. It tells the story of Elle Woods, a sorority girl who enrolls at Harvard Law School to win back her ex-boyfriend Warner. She discovers how her knowledge of the law can help others and, despite very few characters having any faith in her, throughout the show she surprises them when she defies expectations while staying true to herself.

The action-packed musical comedy is essentially a story of self-discovery and determination, featuring a large ensemble cast, and exploding with several big and memorable song & dance numbers that we hope will be great fun to rehearse and perform.

Obviously before we get to 'Legally Blonde' we have 'Evita' (April 2026) and 'We Will Rock You' (October 2026), so plenty to get excited about in this run of first-time shows for WODS!
