WODS presents its next play, Road by Jim Cartwright. Jim Cartwright is responsible for a number of classic British plays including Two, The Rise & Fall Of Little Voice and Eight Miles High.
Join the alcohol-soaked Scullery as he takes you on a journey across a run-down, derelict road in 1980’s Lancashire. Experience sunset to sunrise through the eyes of the road’s poorest and most poverty-stricken residents as you are led through a night of booze, fighting and mischief. Join the likes of Skin-Lad, a former criminal with a new perspective on life, Brian & Marion, two quarrelling part-time lovers, Dor & Lane, two tarty best friends with no cares in the world and many other characters as you experience the drama and fall outs of the night… “if you’re ever in the area… call again”.
This amateur production of “Road” is presented by special arrangement with SAMUEL FRENCH LTD, a Concord Theatricals Company.
PLEASE NOTE: “ROAD” CONTAINS FREQUENT STRONG LANGUAGE AND ADULT THEMES.
Tickets: £10 per person
Venue: St Mary’s Hall, Northfield Street, Worcester, WR1 1NS
